While WordPress does offer the ability to host a blog on your website, it requires some setup before it’s ready to use. Setting up a blog post system involves configuring the back-end of your website to start off. Additionally, we’ll need to create a new page to display your blog posts and design both the visual and functional aspects to ensure an intuitive browsing experience that is consistent with your website’s look-and-feel. This includes creating and designing templates for your blog posts.

The specific requirements for this setup will vary depending on your website’s needs. We provide this as a one-off custom scope of work to establish the blog system before proceeding with the creation of posts according to your content plan. Typically the cost for this is around $360 +GST, but of course it may be a bit more or less depending on your requirements.

When transferring your website to Spirit’s managed web hosting service, there are a few methods available:

Transfer website from archive file:

Ask you existing web host provider for an website archive file. This typically includes all of your website files in a correct order, plus a copy of your database. We will need both in order to setup your website.

cPanel direct website access:

Ask you existing web host provider for cPanel login details. This will allow us to access the files directly. We can download them direct from your hosting.

Typically 10-14 Days, although in some rare cases we have seen it take as long as 4-6 weeks.

On the day we set your website live, we also submit your website to Google to be “indexed”. Google will scan the website, its content and site maps and incorporate it into its database.

Unfortunately, Google does not provide any way to no way to speed up this process or track the progress.
