The Brief
ASX listed Duratec Limited a national engineering, construction and remediation company undertaking building and infrastructure projects across multiple industry sectors including Resources, Defence, Energy, Transport and Commercial Building to name a few. This is the third annual report Spirit has produced for them. As usual we start with a kick-off meeting with the MD and other stakeholders do discuss the major themes of the financial year and their expectations for the year ahead so we can understand what they wand to communicate to shareholders.
The Solution
Our aim with this Annual Report was to evolve the look from the previous Annual Report and to take advantage of an expanded colour palette in their upgraded style guide. We overlayed the multiple blue tones to enhance the glass panels in the cover shot to create a look that represented the enhancement effect that Duratec's work had on the infrastructure it worked on. We then rolled this concept into image throughout and created a tabbed side graphic system to aid navigation. As with all our annual reports, Spirit included hyperlinked navigation and cross-references in the electronic version for a better user experience.
